Emergency Coordinator with a focus on crisis preparedness
In Partille municipality, emergency preparedness, safety, and security issues are highly prioritized.
We are now expanding our team and looking for a new employee who wants to help drive the ongoing development journey we have started. We are looking for an emergency coordinator with a focus on crisis preparedness to complement and strengthen our existing positions.
In the role of emergency coordinator, you will work both strategically and operationally to develop Partille municipality's emergency preparedness work. You will belong to the municipal executive office, the department for Central Support and Development, which, with its specialist knowledge, is responsible for coordinating, supporting, and following up on municipality-wide processes. Your focus will be to strengthen the municipality's preparedness to maintain essential services even during extraordinary events. You will work closely with colleagues responsible for emergency preparedness, security, and crime prevention work. Together, the team drives and coordinates the municipality's long-term work in emergency preparedness, safety, and security. Your main tasks will include:
- Drive and develop Partille municipality's crisis preparedness work
- Conduct risk and vulnerability analyses
- Identify risks, propose measures, and follow up on improvements to strengthen the municipality's resilience
- Provide advice to municipal management, administrative management, and other employees during the implementation of emergency preparedness work
- Develop Partille municipality's work to ensure that essential services are maintained even during extraordinary events
- Planning and conducting training and exercises
- Develop municipality-wide guidelines, routines, and governing documents
- Internal and external collaboration
- Project management of working groups within your area of work
In your work, you may also serve as an emergency officer and be part of the crisis management team. We are looking for someone with the ability to drive, lead, initiate, and take responsibility for activities and projects within crisis preparedness and security work.
Working hours are scheduled during the day, but evenings and weekends may occur.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in the field and relevant work experience. A B driver's license is also a requirement for the position.
It is particularly meritorious if you have documented experience in crisis preparedness work and security-enhancing work. It is also an advantage if you have worked in municipal operations. Knowledge or experience in other areas of security, such as emergency preparedness issues, physical security, or information security, is also considered meritorious.
As a person, you are secure, stable, and outgoing, with a good ability to create and maintain relationships. In your close contact with our operations, you provide advice and support in emergency preparedness issues. You work in a structured and systematic manner and have good problem-solving skills. You have a strong desire to develop and learn new things. The role requires you to work independently while enjoying being part of a team where we support each other. To succeed, you need to be communicative and have an easy time collaborating and involving others in ongoing issues. You are pedagogical and have experience in training and sharing your knowledge. Additionally, you express yourself well in both speech and writing.

Good to know
The position may become security classified, which means you will need to undergo a security review according to the Security Protection Act.
Selection is ongoing, and interviews are planned to begin in week 4 of January.
Your new workplace
At the municipal office in central Partille, you will find the municipal executive office's department for Central Support and Development, which, with its specialist competencies, is responsible for coordinating, supporting, and following up on municipality-wide processes. The department is responsible for political case preparation, document management, archive issues, legal support, strategic management, and sustainability issues, as well as the municipality's crisis and security issues. A total of 14 employees work within the CSU, who, despite different and partly broad assignments, strive to see the operations as a whole and work together towards common goals.
The work takes place in a tight-knit and cohesive group with high competence and an unpretentious approach. The group is characterized by openness, collaboration, and a strong ability to quickly find solutions. Within the security unit, the closest working group consists of three people: an emergency coordinator, a security coordinator, and a development strategist focused on crime prevention work.
